Announcing My 2022 Succulent Watercolor Calendar
I'm pleased to announce my 2022 Succulent Watercolor Calendar! It features a dozen vibrant paintings depicting some of my favorite succulents. A great gift!
Visit My Store
My calendars and other succulent-themed gift items are available from Succulent Chic, my online Zazzle store. I use Zazzle because their production values are high and there’s no overhead, leaving me free to paint and design. Zazzle keeps 90% of the sales price, so it's really just a hobby. But it's one I love, and probably wouldn't get around to doing otherwise.
Claim your discount
Never pay full price at Zazzle. They offer discounts nearly every day, so be sure to enter the code at check-out (it's at the top of their screen). FYI, if you're purchasing gifts, Zazzle can mail them directly to the recipient for you.
For you desert rats, I've also re-released my popular Cactus Calendar. It features photos of symmetrical cacti and those that have exceptional character.
See my method
I don't draw the image but rather use a light table (or a bright window) to transfer main lines onto watercolor paper. I made this video to show you how. If I can do it, so can you!

Hi Debra…
Your artwork is amazing!
I love love love the aloes and agaves.
The color borders on the prints are a great addition…
Can’t wait for the calendar!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and talents.
Thank you Linda! I’m especially happy to hear you like the agaves. They’re my favorite subject. ;+)
Very nice artwork! Unlike the other’s, I do not know the names of each plant and I’m sure I’m not alone in that. I think it would be educational to add the plant name somewhere (perhaps you’re already including it in the calendar page?). I know that would make it more appealing to me.
Cathy
Hi Cathy — Oh! I forgot to add the back cover to the gallery of images. It has a list of the names of the plants. Will do so now, and caption the images too. Thanks!
Hi Debra
Beautiful calendar and so different than some of the horticulture calendars I have received over the years. I am not a collector of succulents but love to look at how you present them in such colorful arrays. May purchase this calendar for a friend of mine, who has the space in her garden to do some amazing arrangements of her succulents/cacti. I live in the mid=Atlantic and so anything grown outside must come in for the winter/cold months. I’ve tried keeping them but not successful.
Wish you much success with this endeavor….it is clearly beautifully created. May 2022 turn out to be as beautiful a year.
Thanks, Grace, I’m so glad you like it! I especially love your observation that it’s different. Being different yet producing something people like and want isn’t easy these days!
Oh my gosh, I love them all.
They all will be beautiful to frame and put in different rooms at different times of the year.
You did great job.
Thanks, Bevie! What a lovely idea. Much appreciated.
